Update for Friday 3rd February 2012
Start Times for Saturday Multi Tee Starts/Club Champs
We have had a number of requests for a later start time and have decided to move to 8.00am and 12.30pm on Saturdays from the 11th February 2012. Just be aware that the Saturday the 18th is the first day of Club Champ qualifying and there is a one tee start from 7.00am. We have sheets up for the Club Champs so that we can get a good indication of player numbers. If we can’t see enough entries we may reduce the qualifying days. If you haven’t entered on the sheets, you will still be able to book on Dot Golf.

Sunday 12th February: Shaftsbury & Rhodes Cups (entry sheet in Pro Shop).
Saturday 18th February:Junior A & B 1st round qualifying 18 holes
Sunday 19th February: Intermediate & Senior 1st round qualifying 18 holes
Saturday 25th February: Intermediate & Senior 2nd round qualifying 18 holes
Sunday 26th February: Junior A & B 2nd round qualifying 18 holes
Sunday 4th March: Mixed Rosebowl Foursome
Sunday 11th March:Senior, Intermediate, Junior A, Junior B, 1st rnd match play 18 holes
Sunday 25th March: Senior, Intermediate, Junior A, Junior B, 2nd rnd match play 18 holes
Saturday 31st March:Senior, Intermediate, Junior A, Junior B, semi finals match play 18 holes
Sunday April 15th: Club Champs Finals Men & Women. 36 holes.
The entry forms for the Club Champs are now in the pro Shop.
Qualifying:
Qualifying is played on all Greens Goblet stroke match between February 2012 & November 2012. There are 10 qualifying rounds, the aggregate of your best 4 net stroke scores count. The best 10, 4 round net aggregate scores will qualify for the final.
The 3 rounds from, Dec 2010, & Jan, Feb 2011 have been cancelled. The reason is we
now playing a different course. All the money paid in from the three cancelled rounds
will be added to the 2012 Shoot-
Finals Shoot Out Format
10 players play the 1st hole, one player drops out each hole. Highest net score drops
out; ties have a chip off or put off to decide who drops out. This continues until
only one player is left. The Shoot out will take around 6 hours. All players in the
shoot-
Clubhouse
We have received a considerable payment from Vero as our indemnity value. Expressions of Interest for the rebuild have just closed and we have an impressive list of design/build companies to choose from. We have already compiled a short list and will be proceeding to interview in the next couple of weeks.
Course
Our Committee have a meeting next week with a prominent golf course architect to work towards a price for a long term plan for the course. We are awaiting pricing on course repairs and hope to have these finalized soon.
Coring – this will be carried out on Monday the 20th February and the course will be closed that day. The greens desperately need renovating as they haven’t touched since last February and have had more traffic than usual over the past few months.
Front Road Entrance
You will notice road working equipment parked in our carpark over the next week. By allowing these machines to park here we are going to get our road frontage repaired next Thursday. There may be some parking restrictions then.
