The Course:
Situated approx. 1 kilometre from Waimairi Beach is based entirely on sand. Gently rolling tree lined fairways, with medium sized greens. The course is always in immaculate condition and the greens are well known as the most consistent and quickest in Canterbury. There is seldom a day without a sea breeze to make this 5,889 metre par 72 course a real test of golf.
The Facilities:
A large character clubhouse with large windows allowing views across the course and in particular the 18th fairway and green. The caterers live in a flat attached to the clubhouse and there are full bar facilities. There is a fully stocked Pro Shop manned 7 days a week.
The course was purchased by the members from Ngai Tahu in 2000. A small parcel of land was sold in 2008 and interest from the funds held allows healthy and continuing development on the course and facilities.
